Hi, I'm Stan DeFreitos, "Mr. Green Thumb". Then we talk more about cold protection, well there's a number of things you can use. We've talked about covers sometime in the past, but using a light source, like we have here, can make a difference in keeping your plant alive. Now remember, when this light bulb is on, it's giving off energy. And if you got this underneath your different cover, well you're going to help keep your plant probably 3 or 4 degrees warmer. If you got it underneath some plastic, or underneath a cover, if you're using a trouble light like this, you can help keep your plant alive. Now you wouldn't do this for all of your plants, but let?s say it's your favorite plant, that you've been growing for a good long time, and you know it's a sensitive plant, and you know the weather man says its going down below freezing, this can help make the difference in keeping your plant alive during those cold Winter nights; sometimes in the Fall, sometimes in the Spring. You can make sure you use your light bulb to give you more energy, and keep those plants alive. For On Gardening, I'm Stan DeFreitas, "Mr. Green Thumb".
