Hello, my name is Jose Zuniga and I'm representing expertvillage.com. Well we've planted out Mexican Heather, which is great, but remember we've got to maintain the moisture, what do we do? Add some mulch! I happen to have the nugget size mulch here, it's a little bit bigger, it's going to retain the moisture and I don't have to worry whenever I water the plant or if it rains, it's going to wash away. Another thing that I've done as you can see, is that I have this little boarder side of bricks so that's going to retain all of the mulch there so I don't have to worry about that. Okay, so we're going to start spreading out the mulch evenly. We start from the front to the back and all around to the plant. There we go, just everywhere, just be generous, great! Now when you get to the base of the plant, be sure that you build the cone. The reason for that is the water is going to retain much better so it equals better moisture and the moisture will retain much better. Of course you have to do the entire area, this is great, this is what I'm talking when it's time for you to do your mulching, it's to the entire front and back. This is how we mulch for Mexican Heathers.
