Hello, my name is Jose Zuniga and I'm representing expertvillage.com. Tool preparation for our garden, you heard me right.! Well if you bought them brand new, all you have to do is pull them out of the box, check them that they're working properly. However, if you have your on going old tools, what you need to do is you need to make sure that they're working properly. For starters be sure that everything including your lawnmower is serviced at least once a year. It's very critical that you do that. We want to have that power that you need there, also the blade needs to be sharpened as well. Check that underneath there's no obstacles or any rocks or anything. You can check the tires, are the tires working properly? Do they need to be changed? Do you need to just add a little bit more of W40 so they can move better for you. When it comes to any sharp, like your scissors, your clippers and even your shovel, be sure that they're sharpened. If you're not sure how to do that, take it to a home improvement center. The cost is real minimum or you can purchase a metal sharpener or also I prefer the one that comes like a little rock in a shape and you can sharpen those at home as well, so see what fits you the best. Also when it comes to your trimmer, be sure the filament, you have plenty of it because it goes quick. When it comes to the electrical cord, be sure that you check every single end that it's in good shape, otherwise replace it, safety comes first. It's real simple, the maintenance of your tools will get you a long way for your project. Follow these safety tips and you should be fine and this is how we prepare our tools for our garden.
