Hi this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment we are going to talk about how to use a soaker hose in your garden. Now soaker hoses are basically a hose that's round as a snake, as a coil, and you weave it through your flower bed. And then there's little holes you can poke little holes every couple of inches all the way through the hose. And when you turn the water on it will shoot water just in that area and it will water your whole flower bed. And it's great and better then a sprinkler because the water goes right on to the ground, it's not shot into the air and you don't lose half of the water through heat and going into the air. A soaker hose is really productive because it really works well. But I've found even with a soaker hose there still might be corners that you want to hand water. And there is some plants that need more water then others. But it's an easy way to water your plants with little care and with little water.
