I'm Bill Elzey, with Showplace Lawns. Wanting to talk to you now about whether or not grubs are damaging to your lawn. Grubs are the larva stage of a June bug. They will enjoy areas of the lawn that are in full sun more sot than the shade. So, that's the area that they look for. Now, we all know that when there is a problem with the grass the grass goes brown. So, it could be anything, this the problem. The best way to identify grub damage is to look at the grass to see if it is loose. If you can roll the grass up or pick it up then it's grub damage. Because, grubs eat the roots off the grass and just sever that right off. So anytime you see a brown area like this and the grass is real loose and you can pick it up. That's grub damage.
