I'm Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Green Thumb. Well there are a number of plants that can help to attract butterflies. In general, if the plant has a tubular flower like this snapdragon, or even a regular flower like we have with this little petunia, flowers help to attract butterflies. Now you'll find milkweed and a number of other plants that are considered butterfly plants or butterfly attracting plants. In general, almost any flowering plant will attract bees and also butterflies to your garden. And that's a good thing. We want to keep our little butterflies happy. They help to pollinate, it's important for us to help pollinate little plants not only for more flowers but for our vegetables as well. So if you have a flowering plant, make your yard a little bit prettier by adding a few more flowering plants, you don't have to have a large number, one or two or three flowering plants will help to feed the butterflies and make your life and your butterfly happier. For askmrgreenthumb.com, I'm Stan DeFreitas.
