I'm Doug Smiddy of Smiddy's Gardening Services here on behalf of expertvillage.com and welcome to my garden. Today we're here to talk about low maintenance gardening. Okay, now that we have chosen where we're going to put our garden we want to think about how big do we want our garden. One piece of advice that I always pass onto people is keep your garden small and manageable. That way it's always fun and it doesn't become a burden where you have tremendous amount of weeding to do and things like that. Again, we want think low maintenance, so let's keep the size practical. Now in this case I made my garden 12 feet by 6 feet and you'll be amazed how much I can get in there if you space things out correctly. But again bare in mind you want to keep it low maintenance, smaller is better you can always expand on it.
