Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment we're going to talk about how to keep grass healthy. Now grass is just a plant, just like any other plant. And it just needs a few things to grow really well. The first, it needs sunlight. Second, it needs good soil. And third, it needs lots of water to grow well. So once you give your grass all these elements, you'll find that it'll grow really healthy. Generally, your grass wouldn't even need to be fertilized if you just added grass seed every Spring and Fall. By adding grass seed every Spring and Fall, your grass will grow in very healthy. But make sure and water it really well especially if it's in a shaded area because if you have any grass in a little bit of shade in the Fall and the Spring, you're not watering. And a lot of times you lose it because you don't water. So make sure and water it really well. And it doesn't hurt too if you've got a lot of weeds coming in or you've got some bare spots or spots where the cuts have gotten into it. Just put some compost down or potting soil down every Spring and Fall on those spots. Add lots of grass seed and it will grown in lush and full and be beautiful.
