Hi this is Yolanda Vanvee and in this segment, we're going to talk about how to grow grass on a hill. Well having a beautiful lawn is always such a joy, and especially in the summertime, sitting in the lawn and enjoying the nice summer breeze is always a great highlight of your life. But when you live on a hillside, it's very difficult to figure out what to do about it, and how am I going to get grass to grow on it? Well, the easiest way to get grass to grow on hillside is to just add quite a bit of compost or potting soil to the hill. Just get a truckload delivered, cover the whole hill with it, and only in the spring or the fall, wait until the nights are warm in the spring, so wait until it quits freezing and you're having some nice warm evenings in the spring. Or in the fall when it's still nice and warm at night, but it's starting to cool down a bit, that's the best time to seed it. So just get quite a bit of grass seed, and just sprinkle it over your whole hillside and you'll find that the grass will grow up there. And it'll grab onto the soil and eventually it will not wash away. Some of the dirt might fall down the hill and so you'll just have to eventually keep adding more dirt, but if you persist, eventually you will get grass to grow on that hill.
