I'm Bill Elzey with Showplace Lawns. How to choose a lawn grass. Well, first off, that depends on what part of the country you're in, because that's going to determine your environmental conditions. And different grasses grow obviously in different places. The other thing that you want to consider is the ascetic value of the grass and how it's going to look and fit in with the rest of your plants. Your trees and others. The house, the neighborhood, or where you are. And I feel that probably the most important part to consider is what are the watering requirements? With watering and water itself, getting scarce and we're all having problems in needing to conserve more, I feel that we should look for grasses that do not require as much water in order to enable a good healthy turf.
