The large, 4" to 6" blooms of the Oriental poppy are dramatic when planted in mass. In cold climates (USDA zones 6 and colder) Orientals are hardy perennials. Foliage will die back completely in summer after blossoms fade and reappear for a second flush of blooms in fall. Colors include white, orange, pink and salmon with black centers.
