This is a very large (200-acre) extravaganza, and one any garden enthusiast will want to visit. It is planted with spectacular tropical and native plants and is certainly a well-known tourist attraction. Founded in 1936 in what was once a swamp by a retired advertising executive named Richard Pope, Cypress Gardens was designed specifically with beauty and attractiveness (and certainly some commercial interest) in mind. Life magazine once referred to it as a photographer
