Old Fort Stamford

Stamford, Connecticut
United States

Hidden within rural winding roads high above Stamford is a tiny, eighteenth-century-style enclosed garden at a site called the Old Fort. The fort itself is gone, but what remains is an idyllic garden with an Italianate balustrade, colorful plantings, and a pretty wisteria trellis. Expanses of lawn surround Old Fort Stamford, adding to its appeal. Children will love this spot.
