Fruit Scones
3/4 lb flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3 tbl. margarine or butter
2/3 cup milk
1/4 lb raisins, sultanas, currants, or a mixture of all three
Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in the shortening. Mix in the milk to make a soft dough. Add the raisins. When kneaded, rolled and cut out, bake for 12-15 minutes in a 450 degree oven.
