How to Refill Miracle Gro Liquafeed Bottles

Overview

The Miracle Gro Liquafeed system is a simple garden hose spray attachment that automatically mixes liquid fertilizer, dispensed from a disposable refill bottle, into the water you're giving your outdoor plants. For best results, the manufacturer recommends using the feeder every one or two weeks and spraying just long enough to saturate the soil; if you're doing deep watering, do it without the fertilizer attachment or you may manage to "burn" your plants by overfertilizing.

Step 1

Unscrew the empty Liquafeed bottle from the Miracle Gro hose attachment. Rinse and recycle, if possible, or discard.

Step 2

Twist the cap off a new refill Liquafeed bottle. Hold the bottle port of the feeder hose attachment over the neck of this new bottle.

Step 3

Tilt the bottle enough for it to slide into the bottle port of the feeder hose. Screw the bottle into this port until it's firmly attached.

Step 4

Resume feeding your plants with the now refilled feeder attachment. If you finish spraying your plants but still have some solution left in the refill bottle, unscrew the bottle from the feeder attachment, cap it, and store it upright until it is needed again.
