How to Kill Grass with Household Solution

When grass grows stubbornly in places you do not want it, use simple household solutions to kill the grass. White vinegar provides not only an effective grass killer, but an economical and environmentally safe way to do it. Within hours of applying the white vinegar to the unwanted grass, you will notice the grass suffering ill effects. Clean up your landscaping areas, driveway and sidewalks and kill grass with a household solution, ridding these areas of unsightly grass growth.

Step 1

Fill a spray bottle with full-strength white vinegar if you choose to spray the grass. Pouring the white vinegar directly on the grass is also a suitable application method.

Step 2

Spray or pour the white vinegar directly onto the unwanted grass. Ensure the white vinegar penetrates down into the grass roots and the soil surrounding the grass.

Step 3

Reapply the white vinegar after two or three days if any grass remains. You should see the grass wither and die within 24 to 48 hours.

Tips and Warnings
