Depending on the variety, their flowers, which bloom during summer, come in vivid shades of red, yellow, orange, gold, pink or white and are popularly used in flower arrangements and bouquets. Gerbera daisies require only basic care to thrive, and they flower profusely, regardless of region.
Plant gerbera daisies during late spring in a location that receives full sunlight throughout the day. Spread 2 inches of aged manure over the planting site, and use a garden tiller to incorporate the matter into the soil. Space gerbera daisies about 14 inches apart.
