How to Get Rid of Moles Using Red Pepper Seeds

You may have always thought moles were cute until they started eating your crops and plants and destroying your nice, smooth green lawn. Fortunately, several home remedies exist, including the use of red pepper seeds, which supposedly help get rid of unwanted moles and many people insist they work well. On the other hand, many people think these home remedies are ineffective; however, it is worth a try before you decide to trap or kill them, or call in the expensive exterminator.

Step 1

Cut open a red pepper. Scoop out and separate the seeds. You can also use dried cayenne pepper if desired.

Step 2

Place the seeds in a small clear bag or container so you don't lose them.

Step 3

Locate the mole's tunnel entrances. Follow the humps in your yard until you discover an entrance or two.

Step 4

Sprinkle the red pepper seeds down the holes. Repeat weekly as needed.
