Once you press flowers from your garden, create a unique craft by making pressed flower cards. This process is quick and easy enough for a children's project. Choose a note card color in a complementary color for a beautifully finished card.
Set the iron to a warm temperature without steam.
Cut two pieces of wax paper the same size as the front of your note card.
Place one piece of wax paper onto a flat work area. Arrange your pressed flowers onto the wax paper, leaving a 1-inch border around all four edges.
Set the second piece of wax paper over the first piece, taking care not to move or disturb the flowers as you position the paper.
Apply the warm iron to the waxed paper until you see that the wax paper layers melt to each other around the outside border and around the individual flowers. Melting the wax paper with the iron will seal the flowers between the layers of wax paper.
Allow the warm wax paper to cool completely before you proceed with the remaining steps.
Turn the waxed paper over to the backside. Place double-sided tape around the outside edges of the wax paper and remove the strips covering the adhesive on the other side of the tape.
Place the wax paper pieces over the front of the note card. Press the wax paper down firmly around the edges to make sure the wax paper adheres securely.
