Organic Herbs for Men

Whether you're a man seeking to improve your health or a woman who wants to take care of your man, there are many organic herbs that some people believe benefit males. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved herbal supplements for their efficacy or safety, so be cautious if you decide to take them and always consult with your doctor before you do.

Siberian Ginseng

The herb now called Eleuthero has been studied and is said to improve the ability of male athletes to breathe more efficiently. Eleuthero might also be instrumental in helping to increase the strength of athletes' pectoral muscles. Eleuthero can also benefit women---in both men and women, it might help the body to burn fat better during exercise than in people who do not take it.

St. John's Wort

St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is believed to be useful for not only helping to relieve the symptoms of mild to moderate depression. Oil of oregano is the preferred form of this herb: If you take three drops three times every day, proponents say that you will be fortified to fight off colds and the flu. It is also said to help hepatitis, herpes infections and parasites, such as giardia, when taken orally.
