How to Clean Fruit & Veggies With White Vinegar

Overview

With all that appears in the news about pesticides being used in the commercial produce industry, consumers naturally want their food as clean as possible before it is consumed. You can purchase fruit and vegetable cleaners for this purpose, but the price tag attached is usually more than it's worth. For a natural homemade version of these fruit and veggie cleaners at a fraction of the cost, white vinegar is a safe and reliable option.

Step 1

Add three cups of clean water and one cup of white vinegar into a spray bottle.

Step 2

Spray the fruits and veggies with the solution to cover them thoroughly.

Step 3

Rinse the fruits and veggies under clean, cool running water.

Step 4

Pat the fruits and veggies dry with a clean dry towel or paper towels to remove excess moisture.
