The best home herb garden is, simply, the one that you use and enjoy. But for starters, try a hydroponic herb garden, which uses a nutrient solution rather than soil. Most herbs do best in either a system that fills and drains a tray with nutrient solution; or an aeroponic system, which mists the plants' roots with nutrient solution.
