Camellias often survive better when fertilized sparingly as opposed to when they are over fertilized. Camellias prefer acidic fertilizers and only a small amount of nitrogen. About the only other thing they may need from time to time is a bit of chelated iron to keep their leaves their greenest.
Mix 6 oz. of cotton seed meal with 1/2 oz. of liquid chelated iron.
Water your camellia thoroughly and wait 24 hours.
Place 2 tbsp. of cotton seed meal and chelated iron around the base of your camellias on top of the damp soil. Water lightly.
Add new cotton seed meal/chelated iron to your camellias whenever needed.
