Is Artificial Light or Sunlight Better for Plants?

Artificial light is acceptable for houseplants that require low light. When medium to full light exposure is indicated, sunlight is the best option, with full-spectrum artificial light a good second choice. Incandescent light is a poor option and creates spindly plants.
