Use pruning saws to cut tree branches. They can cut branches that are too large for hand shears. The teeth are wider on these saws than on typical saws, which helps to prevent binding on green wood. Choose pole pruners to cut overhead branches; pole pruners should have fiberglass poles for durability and safety.
