The quickest way to kill moss growing in turf grass is with iron. It is the main ingredient in commercial moss killers. Avoid getting it on concrete, as it will stain it red. Long-term moss prevention includes adding lime to the soil each year to bring the pH to a range of 6.5 to 7.0.
