Rugosa roses are known for their intense fragrance. Even so (Rosa rugosa "Roseraie de l' Hay") is the most fragrant. The flowers are bright fuchsia with distinct yellow stamens. The roses bloom continually all summer long. The flowers appear on a 4-to-6 foot shrub which has shiny, crinkled foliage.
