Roses are the perfect flowers if you want to create a vibrant bouquet. You can watch the flowers begin to open and emerge. As the petals unfold, the bouquet will take on a new and fresh look. To create a rose bouquet, use any color rose with your favorite vase. Be creative and use recycled bottles or antique mason jars. As the petals drop from the bouquet, you can use them in homemade potpourri.
Fill the vase with room temperature water so you do not shock the flowers and reduce their longevity. Add a pack of flower food to the bottom of the vase to extend the bouquet's life and help keep the blooms fresh. Let the food dissolve completely.
Use shears to cut the roses at a 45-degree angle. Leave the stems long enough to accommodate the height of the vase.
Gather the roses together. Place them in the vase.
Accent the bouquet with sprigs of rosemary and mint. Use such leaves as the galax leaf for greenery.
Arrange the flowers, accent pieces and greenery in the bouquet until you are satisfied with the look.
