The Best Average Flower/Plant Fertilizer

A complete balanced fertilizer is the best choice for flowers and plants. Because it contains equal amounts of the three main nutrients---nitrogen (N), phosphate (P) and potash (K)---it will correct any nutrient deficiencies in the soil. The label will list the amount of each nutrient in percentages, such as 10-10-10 (indicating that each nutrient makes up 10 percent of the total mix, and the remaining 70 percent is made of other minerals and inert materials).
