Among the prettiest, maintenance-free flowering ground cover plants are periwinkle, sweet woodruff, lily-of-the-valley and epimedium, also known as bishop's hat. Unlike many shade-loving ground covers, candytuft, heather, flowering thyme and lilyturf handle sun as well as part shade. Choose a flowering ground cover suited to your climate and growing conditions.
