Commercial weed and grass killers are not only expensive, but they can also leave toxic residue on your lawn and in your soil for years to come. Homemade herbicides are a great way to circumvent the expense and possible danger of commercial products. Simply spray a vinegar solution on grass and weeds during midday, and they will burn in a few hours. If any stubborn weeds sprout up again, simply re-spray them as needed.
Pour 1 qt. of white vinegar into a large spray bottle.
Add 4 oz. of lemon juice concentrate.
Add 1 tsp. of non-antibacterial liquid soap.
Shake the mixture well, then apply.
