Damage:
Chews leaves and tassels and bores into stems.

Predator Insects:
Ladybugs, braconid wasps, tachinid flies, Bacillus thuringiensis.

Natural Insecticides:
Ryania, rotenone and pyrethrum, sabadilla.

Other Methods of Control:

• Plow under or remove stalks in early fall before adults have a chance to emerge.
• Keep garden clean and free of weeds.
