What Time of Year Should You Plant a Tree?

In most climates, trees should be planted in the spring or fall, when both the temperature and rainfall are moderate. In warmer climates, such as in the southern United States where there is no frost, trees can be planted in the winter. The exception, palm trees, should be planted during the summer.
