Is Mold in a Vegetable Garden Harmful?

Downy mildew, powdery mildew and white mold harm vegetable plants, causing blight and rot. Slime molds do not harm plants. Leaf mold, which is composted leaf litter, not a fungal growth, actually benefits plants.
