Why a Pear Tree Won't Flower

Pear trees will stop flowering for a number of reasons. Too much fertilizer encourages the plant to put its energy into leaves instead of fruit. Lack of sunlight can inhibit flowering, as can a sudden drop in temperature in the spring.
