What Is a Good Drainage System for a Container Garden?

Place disposable paper coffee filters in the bottom of the container over the drainage holes. Add a 2-inch layer of gravel, and fill the container with potting soil. Place the pot on pot feet or small wooden blocks about an inch thick.
