About the Author
Catherine Ziegler practiced landscape design for eighteen years. She received many design awards for her work, and her projects were featured in major landscape architectural magazines. From 1986 to 1996 she was an instructor in the landscape design program at the New York Botanical Garden. Ms. Ziegler has earned a master's degree in social and cultural anthropology and is currently writing a Ph.D. dissertation about the global cut flower industry. She has two daughters and lives with her husband in Bedford, New York.
