Crimson Sweet

Crimson Sweet has a high sugar content flesh that is VERY sweet and crisp. It makes a healthy, low calorie snack or dessert, and is easy to grow. Fruit is 21 to 25 pounds and the flesh is bright red. Resistant to fusarium wilt and anthracnose. With just a little care, this variety can be grow in northern climates. This wonderful home variety is not grown commercially.

One packet plants a 15-foot row - 7 plants after thinning.

When to Sow Outside: Spring, a week or two after last average frost date, and after nights are no longer cool.
When to Sow Inside: 4 to 6 weeks before last frost. Starting indoors is recommended for northern gardeners.
Seed Depth: 1/2"
Seed Spacing: 1'
Row Spacing: 4' to 6'
Days to Emerge: 5 to 10 days
Thinning: When vines are 4", thin to 2' apart.
