Some believe these greens are tastier than spinach. The stalks are crunch like celery but have a hint of asparagus flavor. Stem colors include yellow, gold, orange, pink, crimson, lavender, purple and intermediate shades of these colors. Can tolerate shade, and won't get bitter in hot weather. Great for containers.

When to Sow Outside: Early Spring, 2 to 4 weeks before last frost, or when soil temperatures reach 50 degrees.
When to Sow Inside: Plant directly outside.
Seed Depth: 1/2"
Seed Spacing: 1"
Row Spacing: 6"
Days to Emerge: 5 - 10
Thinning: When 1/2" tall thin to 6" apart.
