Cabbage: Copenhagen Market - Seeds & Bulbs
Introduced by H. Hartman & Company in 1909, this Denmark original has been a gardener's favorite for a century. 6" to 8" in diameter and 3 to 4 pounds, it is compact, tightly wrapped and perfect for small gardens. The standard of excellence for many store-bought varieties that were developed after it! Adaptable to a range of climates. Resists splitting and stores well.
One packet will sow seven 10-foot rows.
Days to Maturity: 65 - 75
When to Sow Outside: Early spring, 3 to 4 weeks before last frost, or in late summer (10 to 12 weeks before first frost). Late summer is best where summers are hot, in zone 8 or warmer sow early fall for winter harvest.
When to Sow Inside: 4 weeks before transplanting. Use fiber pots to avoid transplant shock.
