Edamame means 'beans on a branch' and has quickly become one of our favorite vegetables. They are 40% protein (11 grams in 1/2 cup of cooked beans) and are also high in vitamins A & B, calcium, iron, and dietary fiber. These beans are known to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. To top this off, they taste incredible. Tohya is a short season variety, perfect for growing anywhere in North America. This is the most popular variety in Japan. Very easy to grow.
