Basil - Red Rubin
(Ocimum basilicum)
This basil is an improved Dark Opal, and an All American Selections Winner in 1992. Red Rubin is much more uniform in color than other purple basils. The foliage has a clove-like spiciness and flavor - a little too strong for pesto but great for adding to other dishes. Great for containers. This packet plants one 10-foot row.
