(Papaver somniferum)

Beautiful heirloom with fluttery lavender bluish flowers. Bluish-grey seeds, delicious and decorative for baking. These crepe-like blooms will add a magical touch to your summer garden. Easy to grow and carefree self-seeding annual. Seeds are a baker's delight in breads, cakes, muffins and bagels. Large seed pods can be dried and used as "poppy seed shakers". They also add a unique touch to crafts and dried floral arrangements.

When to Sow Outside: Sow in very early spring,as soon as the soil can be worked. Press lightly onto soil - seeds need light to germinate. Special instructions printed inside packet.
