Fascinating inflated buds open to reveal the star-shaped flowers. The violet-blue, white, and rose bells of balloon flower are delicately accented with purple veining and creamy yellow stamens. A rugged flower with few pests, and extremely cold hardy. Blooms for 2 to 3 months, second year from seeds. Bluish -green foliage turns golden yellow in autumn.
