2 green peppers
2 red peppers
4 cloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 cup sugar
4 cups white vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
Cut peppers in quarters lengthwise. Remove seeds and membrane. Place peppers in a large pan with boiling water. Boil for 1 minute. Remove peppers and cool.
Place peppers and garlic in a sterilized jar. Combine sugar, vinegar and salt in pan; stir over medium heat until sugar and salt have dissolved. Pour hot liquid over peppers. seal and store at least 1 week before opening. Store up to 6 months.
