Magic Soup Mix

This recipe is wonderful, and works well with any leftover meat! We like smoked sausage, potato and cheese soup, but you could use ham hocks, whatever you like!


4 cups of instant, non-fat dry milk powder
1 cup of flour
1 cup margarine or butter

Combine until mixture has the consistency of cornmeal. Store this mix in
the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

Any Way You Like It Potato Soup (This is really good, and is ideal for leftovers!)

1 1/3 cup chicken broth
1 small potato, chopped
1 1/3 cups other veggies-carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, etc
1 tbsp chopped onions
2 tbsp chopped, cooked meat-sausage, chicken, fish, hamburger, etc.
2/3 cup magic mix
1/4 cup shredded cheese (your choice, can be optional)

1. Cook potatoes and raw veggies in broth until tender.
2. Add cooked meats to cooked veggies, add magic mix and cheese.
3. Stir until thickened and heated through, being careful not to get the
soup too hot or the cheese will curdle.

Serves 4-5 people (but we found that it goes pretty fast around here!
