2/3 cup vinegar
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine, cut into pieces
1 (2-pound) head cabbage, shredded
Combine first 5 ingredients in a small heavy saucepan; cook over low
heat, stirring constantly with a wire whisk, 8 to 10minutes or until
thickened (mixture will appear curdled until it thickens). Remove from
heat. Add butter, stirring until it melts. Pour over cabbage; toss
gently to coat. Cover and chill. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
