Stuffed Chinese Black Mushrooms Recipe

Step 1

Crush the tofu in a bowl. Mix in all the ingredients except the mushrooms.

Step 2

When the mixture is thoroughly blended, stuff and top the mushrooms with it.

Step 3

Either grill the stuffed mushrooms for 3-5 minutes on a lightly oiled stovetop grill, or an oiled, very hot, thick-bottomed frying pan, or broil them for 7-9 minutes in the oven.

Things You'll Need

  • 1/4lb Fresh tofu
  • 1md Chopped scallion
  • 2 Garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2ts Sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1ts Oriental sesame oil
  • 2ts Fresh ground ginger
  • 1ts Soy sauce
  • 1ts Liquid sweetener
  • 1pn Salt
  • 1pn Black pepper
  • 1/4c Wheat germ or bread crumbs
  • 20lg Chinese dried blk. mushrooms
  • -- soaked at least 20 mins.,
  • -- cleaned and stemmed
