Kaye'S Spinach Madeline Recipe

Step 1

Cook spinach according to directions on package. Drain and reserve liquor. Melt butter. Add flour-stir to blended and smooth, but not brown. Add onion to cook until soft but not brown. Add liq. slowly stirring constantly. Cook until smooth and thick. Add seasoning and cheese, cut into small pieces. Stir until melted. Combine with cooked spinach. May put in casserole with buttered bread crumbs.

  • 2pk Frozen chopped spinach
  • 4tb Butter
  • 2tb Flour
  • 2tb Chopped onion
  • 1/2c Evap. milk
  • 1/2c Veg. liquor
  • 1/2ts Black pepper
  • 3/4ts Celery salt
  • 3/4ts Garlic salt
  • Salt to taste
  • 6oz Roll jalepeno cheese
  • 1ts Worcestershire sauce
  • Red pepper to taste
