Hearty Split-Pea Soup Recipe

Step 1

Heat leftover ham, peas, carrots, onion and 7 cups of water in dutch oven. Heat to boiling then reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 hours or until peas are soft. Remove bay leaf and serve. Makes 10 1-cup servings.

  • Leftover chopped turkey ham
  • 1lb Split peas
  • 2ea Thinly sliced carrots
  • 1ea Medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4ts Allspice
  • 1/4ts Pepper
  • 1ea Bay leaf
